About the Position:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of tax return preparation with the focus being on Individual Tax Returns. Tax planning and tax research will also be required for this position. Additional skills with business tax, personal property tax, trust, estate, and nonprofit tax returns are a plus. This person will be responsible for managing client tax engagements and supervision of busy season tax interns. 

Responsibilities:

         Research, organize and review client tax documentation

         Prepare Individual income tax returns

         Maintain compliance with tax regulations

         Reviews federal and state income tax returns for individuals

         Handles federal, state and local tax audits and letters.

         Prepares research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities.

         Trains and supervises staff, reviews and evaluates their work.

         Manages multiple clients, budgets and production goals.

Skills:

         Skilled at building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise

         Excellent communication skills with clients and team

         Skilled at delegation to appropriate staff and ability to coach

         Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems

         Strong leadership and personnel management skills

         Analytical skills with detail orientation

         Ability to find and implement opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures

Qualifications:

         Current CPA license

         8 + years of recent public accounting experience

         Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax regulations

         Knowledge of CCH products is a plus, including Axcess Tax, Axcess Practice, and Prosystem fx Engagement

         Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus

About the Position:

As an Audit Senior or Audit Manager, you will lead audit engagements, supervise and mentor staff, and work closely with partners to deliver high-quality service to a diverse client base. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. This is an in-office position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion.

• Review and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulations.

• Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support.

• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary contact for audit matters.

• Assist with firm initiatives, including process improvements and staff training.

• Ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• CPA license required (or in active pursuit).

• 3+ years (Senior) or 6+ years (Manager) of public accounting experience, with a focus on audits.

• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.

The ideal candidate will have experience in performing audits, reviews and compilations and be able to assist in planning, risk assessment and performing attestation engagements.  This person will be responsible for various facets of the attestation engagement, including preparation of financial statements.  A basic understanding of GAAP and GAAS is required.  Position is not remote, full-time in office required.

Qualifications

• Current CPA license a plus
• 2 - 8 years of recent public accounting experience
• Knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus
• Knowledge of CCH Engagement and PPC Smart Practice Aids a plus
